Sakura and Syaoran

Probably the most well known and popular couple would be Sakura and Syaoran. They began as rivals, both set out to collect the clow cards, and both to win Yukito’s heart. We later find out Syaoran never liked Yukito that way, he was just attracted to his magic. Sakura found out that Yukito wasn’t the one for her, so they both tried to see who they really liked. Of course, it wasn’t love at first sight, it started with a glare and a worried look.
Their relationship grew over time, which made it realistic. Syaoran soon realised that Sakura was the true cardcaptor, but decided to help her out any way he could when capturing and transforming the clow cards. During this time, we see Syaoran getting confused, and blushing when getting nearer and nearer to Sakura. Yue helps him see why, and Tomoyo edges him on to tell her his feelings. Meiling, Syaoran’s fiancé, stood in their way at the beginning, but later, accepted that they were right for eachother. At the end of the series, Syaoran finally confesses his love to Sakura. She was utterly surprised by what he said, but as he was departing she knew how he felt. She wasn’t able to tell him until their next meeting in the 2nd movie. There she jumped into his arms, while shouting out the words, “I LOVE YOU!” Sakura and Syaoran are meant to be, they are so kawaii together!

Sakura and Tomoyo

This is no ordinary friendship. This friendship goes way beyond ordinary friend, too deep sisterly love, and for one of them a lot more than that.
Tomoyo met Sakura during class, when Sakura noticed she didn’t have an eraser, so she gave her an extra one of hers. Tomoyo still has this small gift, which started their friendship.
Sakura and Tomoyo are very close. Sakura thinks of Tomoyo as her sister (who is actually her cousin). Tomoyo thinks of Sakura of something way more, the one she loves the most. Tomoyo knows that her love will not be returned, and will only cause problems to Sakura. She only wants her to be happy, and knows that she will with Syaoran, so, she helps Syaoran any way she can.
Sakura and Tomoyo are best friends, and nothing can ruin that relationship. The clow card captures and transforms put Tomoyo in a few sticky situations, but she always believed in Sakura to get her out of them, and she always has. They will remain the best of friends forever.

Syaoran and Meiling

Syaoran and Meiling are cousins. They trained together in martial arts back in Hong Kong. They were both very distant, until Meiling lost her pet bird. When Syaoran found out, he quickly went in the rain searching for it. It took him hours, but he managed to find the bird, and gave it back to Meiling. Meiling saw his true heart, and told Syaoran that he was the one she liked the most. She also asked to become his fiancé until he finds the person he cared about more than her. To not hurt her feelings, Syaoran agreed.
Ever since then, Meiling was over protective of Syaoran. Syaoran was a bi annoyed by this, but being kind-hearted, he went along with it to make her happy, and he did care about her, but only as a cousin. Meiling was heart-broken when she found out that he cared about someone else. Later, she knew they weren’t right for eachother, but Syaoran is still a cousin that’s important to her, and same goes for Syaoran.

Syaoran and Tomoyo

These two aren’t very close, but they do share one thing in common, they both love Sakura. Being as observant as she is, Tomoyo saw that Syaoran developed feeling for Sakura. She teased him, but showed him what those feelings were. Syaoran was very blind about the whole thing, and was lucky that Tomoyo saw this, or would have never have had told Sakura how he felt. Tomoyo encouraged Syaoran to tell Sakura how he felt, so, without her, Sakura’s and Syaoran’s relationship wouldn’t have changed. Tomoyo plays a big part in Cardcaptor Sakura though it’s hardly noticeable. I bet Syaoran is very grateful to her.
